Bachelor of education or B.Ed admission 2017 is going on in West Bengal. As per NCTE norms candidates must be graduates with Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree. As per present NCTE and recruitment rules for the appointment for the post of assistant teachers B.Ed degree must required. Government high schools required Science and Arts Graduates who are eligible. Physical science teachers should have studied physics and Mathematics and Biological Science teachers should have studied Chemistry and Botany / Zoology or Chemistry, Botany and Zoology Compulsorily. Arts teachers should have studied Languages, History, Geography, as compulsorily along with other social science subjects and shall have studied any one of the languages and two of the three electives specified below. Candidates should have studied two electives for all the two years of B.Ed Course. There are two method papers social science for Science students and social studies for Arts students.

Candidates obtained degree from the Universities situated outside West Bengal should have offered at least one school subject (Elementary/Secondary/Higher Secondary) at the first and/or second degree level as principal or subsidiary or allied or optional subject, And at the time of admission shall produce two years degree marks cards issued by the Universities. Marks cards issued by the college, will not be considered.
All applicants shall have a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate of all the two years of Degree including electives and languages, including 10% internal assessment marks. But SC, ST, OBC and Physically handicapped candidates shall have a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate of all the two years of degree including electives and languages, including 10% in internal assessment marks.
